Norwich City of Ales is an ongoing festival and celebration of Norwich pubs and Norfolk Breweries. Each year a charity is chosen  to benefit from fund raising and the sales of a charity beer, in 2019 we brewed the charity beer in collaboration with our friends at Panther Brewery.

1,000 bottles were produced and individually numbered and signed by the brewers, along with 9 firkins for sale in the pubs in Norwich.

Kett’s Oak is a famous land mark at Hethersett and in 1549, John Kett started what was to be a cultural revolution of the poor against the rich. It is a fascinating tale which unfortunately ended in the death of the ring leaders at Norwich Castle and Kett’s Oak. The beer is in the style of an American Barley wine, dry, fruity  and fairly strong at 6.0% ABV
